Tourism

Australia is considered one of the best countries in the world to travel by car. Tourists will find every expected facility, and everything is simple and functional.

This simplicity is part of long term planning by the Australian Government, and complemented by Australians who are proud of their country and eager to show off where they live.

Because of that, tourists feel relaxed and welcome, treated with respect and friendship, typical of the Australians. In every part of Australia, the people are helpful when giving information and directions about places to go.

The result is a most enjoyable trip.

Australia is the 6th biggest country in the world in size, and there are huge distances between cities. Depending on how far you want to go, it will take time and planning to get there.

Paved roads are very good and safe, well signed and not crowded, making driving easy and pleasant. To be adventurous on unsealed roads, we recommend that you find about the conditions before you leave.

Remember to have a break on long journeys, at one of the many rest areas. Tiredness is one of the biggest causes of road accidents in Australia.

There are plenty of car rental companies in every tourist city as well as motor homes and self contained campervans with everything you need to have great fun. Also, buses and trains are another very popular way to travel Australia. If you are not experienced in driving on the left side of the road, practicing with a Driving School first might be a good idea.

As there is so much material on tourism, we have listed below the links to each Capital City for your convenience.

A special tourist and travel information guide to assist you is also available in different languages including Chinese at Australia Tourism.

However, should you require assistance to prepare a business itinerary for your trip, China Trade Centre would be pleased to discuss your travel requirements and help you to prepare a suitable travel schedule.
